Does Didomi honour “Reject” on Shopify?
Having a Didomi banner isn’t enough to be compliant: it must actually BLOCK trackers until the visitor accepts. Here’s how to check.
What is Didomi?
Didomi is a French CMP widely used across Europe, IAB TCF certified. It manages the banner and consent storage for many Shopify stores.
The key point: a banner must block, not just show up
Many stores install Didomi, show a nice banner… yet trackers still fire before (or despite) rejection. In that case the banner is decorative: it gives a false sense of compliance. A correct setup must prevent non-essential scripts from loading until the visitor says “yes”.
Does your Didomi banner honour rejection?
Our free scanner goes beyond a simple check: it clicks “Reject” on your banner, then measures whether trackers keep running despite the refusal. In ~30 seconds you know whether your banner actually does its job.

The fix is to wire blocking correctly (Consent Mode, script categorisation, or conditional triggering) so nothing non-essential loads before consent. We’re building the Shopify compliance assistant that checks this continuously and helps you fix it.
